This is the best home around anywhere, as far as I'm concerned. It's just got tons of activities and all kinds of things. The maintenance people are so nice. They have all kinds of activities. Every week they put on stuff and activities.

The care at this place is terrible. The nursing staff seems competent, but the CNA's do as little as possible. The management doesn't seem to be aware, or doesn't seem to care what's going on.
Lake Charles Nursing Homes
My mother-in-law moved in at Lake St Charles Retirement Community 3 months ago. We were very impressed when we toured the facility for the first time. It offers everything we were looking for and more. The place looked very inviting and clean. The staff that we've met has been very friendly.
I was happy with that place but this is something I just don’t understand. It’s not like she skipped out in the middle of the night. She had no control over her move out date and left in the ambulance they called for her. If only she’d had the foresight to know the date of her death and alert the management. The hospital gave a sizable break on her bill under the circumstances, which I truly appreciate.

Many seniors and their families use some form of financial assistance to help them pay for nursing care. The main options available are Medicare, Medicaid, and veterans benefits. These programs can be complicated, especially when it comes to benefit terms. Below, we give a brief overview of how these programs may be used towards paying for skilled nursing care. For convenience, we have a Physician’s office right here, staffed by Gerontologists from St. Louis University.

The way it was cut out was just perfect. I could see her being able to be pretty self-sufficient in the shower area when needed. The dining area was clean, inviting, and spacious yet personable. You could have a good conversation while eating, but you could also just sit and enjoy a meal.
Health
My grandfather has lived there for almost 20 years and he absolutely loves it. The family is always impressed by the professionalism and commitment of the staff when we visit. If you are shopping for independent living and you haven't walked through the tour of Lake St. Charles, you are missing out! I’ve had friends in this facility off and on for years.
We've got it in the storeroom, and I guess we could use it if we take it off the lawn or something. They don't tell you that until you move in. The rooms are relatively small, so you have to look very carefully to make sure it's what you expect. They do have a virtual tour, and that is very good. You can get a chance to see a typical room and some various places throughout the complex.
Nursing home care is offered at rates of $5,627 for semiprivate rooms and $6,737 for private accommodations. The staff seemed to be pretty friendly. At times, they come across and somewhat cold, but I do think part of it was due to the fact that it was so busy there.

She just loved the one-bedroom apartment. She liked that they go on trips where the buses would pick them up and take them to various stores on any particular day . We were really happy with everything that we learned about the facility. She was particularly pleased with the setting in the restroom.
He sat at the entrance for drop-off when the weather was nice once. They have a room they use as a chapel. They have a separate dining area for the rehab patients and someone had a puzzle going there for their therapy that my brother could help with.

She has a nice one-bedroom with a nice sliding glass door that looks out to the area with trees and everything; it also has a beautiful sunset view. I've had the opportunity to work with the team at Lake St. Charles for more than a decade, and I cannot say enough good things about them and the facility. Like any business, staff are what make the difference, and LSC has some of the best. From administration to dining to activities, everyone is centered on the residents they serve.
I would say it's a little high that they've asked, but it's worth it. They have a library and a place where you can work out. There are bikes you can ride to build your muscles up. They have one pool pool table and walking tracks.

There is nothing they won’t do to help you care for your loved one. They are always happy, friendly and willing to communicate with you about any needs your family may have. Those with certain disabilities or diseases have more obstacles to overcome when searching for a quality assisted living home. If you have questions, we are here to help provide the answers. Colonnade Senior Living
As seniors in Saint Charles age, they may require information and assistance in navigating their long-term care options. Fortunately, there are many local and regional resources able to help. These include programs to supplement the care seniors receive in nursing homes, as well as community-based services for individuals who wish to age in place at home.
And it took numerous phone calls to even get a final statement straightened out since they sent a bill for rent for the month after her death. I’m so disappointed in how they handled the end of my dear mother’s life. We're working with Resthaven Nursing & Rehab Center for my mother. We went on two different tours, and both of them were very good. We were impressed with the facilities , the personnel and the staff. They seemed to be helping us get things moving.
